After 10 years of clerking for barristers and partying with friends I decided to make use of what was left of my brain. The cells that had not been pickled by vodka craved literature and my hands wanted to write more. So in 2007 I started studying English Literature and Creative Writing at UCLan. Since graduating in 2010 I've been working for a health centre. More recently I have been proof-reading novels on a friend's behalf and have started work on my own book. I live in Manchester with my boyfriend, James and we have plants named after the Trapdoor characters (an 80s show for kids). When we're not relaxing in our urban home, we're going to metal concerts and socialising with friends. He's a chef by profession so when I'm not too tired, I'm trying to impress him with my amateur cooking!
I'm not sure I do but never mind, there are comparisons that are a lot worse!
ReplyDeleteif you make just a tenth of what he's made from writing, well, remember I'm your friend xx
