my edited post from September 2009. I've replaced my ramblings with a poem I wrote recently. I hope you enjoy it and if you have any thoughts on amending it, please let me know. A poet's work is never finished!
After 10 years of clerking for barristers and partying with friends I decided to make use of what was left of my brain. The cells that had not been pickled by vodka craved literature and my hands wanted to write more. So in 2007 I started studying English Literature and Creative Writing at UCLan. Since graduating in 2010 I've been working for a health centre. More recently I have been proof-reading novels on a friend's behalf and have started work on my own book. I live in Manchester with my boyfriend, James and we have plants named after the Trapdoor characters (an 80s show for kids). When we're not relaxing in our urban home, we're going to metal concerts and socialising with friends. He's a chef by profession so when I'm not too tired, I'm trying to impress him with my amateur cooking!
